COMMUNITY YARD SALE, TREASURE TROVE, BOOK SALE, and MUM SALE

On Saturday, October 20, 2012, The Woman’s Club of Chevy Chase, MD, Inc. (WCCC), is hosting a Community Yard Sale, Treasure Trove, Book Sale, and Mum Sale from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.  Ninety-five percent of this fundraiser will benefit community services and five percent will benefit our building preservation fund.

Start cleaning out your attic, basement, and areas that are cluttered.  The cost for neighbors to rent one 6’x3’ table is $30 and two for $45.  All spaces will be inside the auditorium.  Anything that is not sold is to be removed from the WCCC property by 5 p.m. October 20, 2012.

If you do not want to participate but you do want to donate new or slightly used items, such as furniture, rugs, clothing, jewelry, books, etc. to the club, we will gladly accept them for our Treasure Trove and Book Sale.  Any items that are not used will be donated to other charities.  Any items you wish to donate may be delivered to WCCC Monday through Thursday, September 25 through Thursday,
October 18 between the hours of 9 a.m. and 2 p.m.  Please make sure that they are in good condition and are clean! 

Last year we gave over $12,000 to various charities and scholarships in the community.  Examples are:  Bethesda Cares, Betty Ann Krahnke Center, Christ House, Shepherd’s Table, St. Joseph’s House, Wounded Warrior Transition Brigade.
